Dr. Jacob D. Rosenbaum started his practice in Brooklyn, NY over 25 years ago after completing his Fellowship training in Vitreo-Retinal Surgery at the State University of New York Downstate. He has been providing first class medical care since then to the Brooklyn Community. His office at 1316 48th street is in the heart of Borough Park and only a stones throw away from Maimonides Medical Center.
Our office is equipped with the latest equipment in Ophthalmic and Retinal imaging: Including Fundus Photography, Fluorescein angiography, OCT scanning, Ultrasonography, and Microperimetry.
Dr. Rosenbaum performs Laser surgery, Photodynamic Therapy, and Intravitreal injections of Avastin, Lucentis, Triessence , Ozurdex, and Kenalog in his office for the treatment of retinal diseases and diabetic retinopathy.
Dr. Jacob D. Rosenbaum is proud to announce that Dr. Raphael E. Rosenbaum will be joining the practice. He recently completed his Fellowship training in Ocular Immunology and Uveitis at Harvard’s Mass. Eye and Ear Infirmary, Mass. Eye Research and Surgery Institute under the tutelage of Dr. C. Stephen Foster.
Dr. Raphael E. Rosenbaum is Fellowship trained in the treatment of Ocular Inflammatory disease. Dr. Raphael Rosenbaum specializes in the use of antibiotics, antivirals, steroids, and steroid sparing agents, like NSAIDs, conventional immunosuppressive agents like: Methotrexate, Leucovorin, CellCept, Cyclosporine, Imuran, Leukoran, Cytoxan and the newer biologic agents like, Rituxin, Remicade, Humira, Orencia, IV-Ig in an effort to get stubborn ocular inflammation and uveitis under control. He also has a special interest in managing the surgical challenges of Uveitis patients including complex cataract extraction as well as diagnostic and therapeutic vitrectomies.
